My Great Grandmother Edith Annie Armitage was born on 20th September 1877, in Sheffield. The third of four daughters born to John and Jane (Saul) Armitage of Sheffield. On Christmas Day 1899, aged 22, she married Eldon Street neighbour Harry Colley at their local Parish Church of St. Jude. She had five children, Harry (1900-1901), Sydney (1901-87), Percy (1904), Harry (1906-78) and Gertrude (1912). Between 1900 and 1905, when the first three boys were born, they were living in 53 Ball Street, but moved to 25 Warwick Street, Walkley where fourth son Harry and daughter Gertrude were born. Sometime after husband Harrys death in 1915, widow Edith moved the family back to (52) Eldon Street, Sheffield. Perhaps to her remaining family?
