My G-G-Grandfather John Cambell was born in 1848 in Cleatham, Lincolnshire. He was one of five children born to John and Hannah Cambell. At the time of the 1901 census he was living at 60 Johnston Street, Sheffield and his occupation was listed as a Carter General. (Don't really know what that was but he probably had a barrow!). Around 1871/72 he married Annie Leadbeater (b.11 Nov 1850 in Almholmes, Doncaster) in Doncaster. They had nine children, Frank (b.1872), John (b,1876), Levina (b.1879), Annie (b.1880), Arthur (b.16 Dec 1882), Oswald (b.27 Aug 1885), Lillian (b.1887), Clement (b.1889) and Amy (b.1893). John died on 19 Dec 1915 and his wife Annie died on 12 Mar 1927. She is buried in Burngreave Cemetery, Sheffield.
My G-G-G-Grandfather, John Cambell was born in Winterton, Lincs in Sept 1800. He was one of four children born to Edward and Elizabeth Cambell. He was a Farm Labourer. He married Hannah Hunsley on 19 Feb 1828 and they had five children, Sarah Ann, Jane, Mary (b.1845), John (b.1848) and Elizabeth (b.1850) He died in Cleatham, Lincs in 1853.
My G-G-G-G-Grandfather Edward Cambell was born in 1769. In 1797 he married Elizabeth Hales (b.1765 in Bracebridge, Lincs) in Winterton, Lincs and they had four children, James, Ellen, John (b.Sept 1800) and Eleanor (b.16 Sept 1805). Edward died in 1827 in Winterton.
