Charlesworth

My Grandfather, Merrill Charlesworth was born on 19 September 1911 at 69 Pearl Street, Sheffield. One of five children born to John and Ellen Charlesworth.

By trade, he was a Master Grinder, making Table Knives. On Christmas Eve 1932 he married Florence Bramhall .

They had five children, John, Brian, Jean, Keith and Merrill. Sadly John died in 1961 aged 28.

The first family home was at 26 Egerton Lane then later at 14 Manor Park Rise.

Florence died on 3 March 1966, aged 53.

In the early 70's, Merrill married Lily,  and even in his early sixties, managed to knock out two more children, Anne and Michael.

Merrill died on 7 August 1977, aged 65.
